How To Make Your Kitchen Extension The Perfect Party Space
My lifelong dream has been for a huge kitchen that is big enough for entertaining all my friends and family at once. The kitchen is the hub of the home, so a kitchen extension has always been my dream way of accommodating everybody, with a stylish look that makes me feel total pride in my home. Here’s how you can make your kitchen the perfect party space.

Clearly mark out different areas
My top tip when it comes to entertaining is to make it really clear to your guests what they should be doing in each area of your home. For example, having a seating area where people can eat and chat away from the hustle and bustle, an area to collect food and drink so that guests can come and go easily, and a space for the chaos of all of the cooking so that your visitors don’t feel the frantic energy that comes with hosting!
Use every last bit of space
One of my favourite things about kitchens is that there are so many amazing tips and tricks you can do to store everything away tidily without making the exterior look cluttered or messy. When I was designing my kitchen extension I looked at small home and boat storage techniques so that I could really use every single space to its advantage, meaning that everything has a home and I can have a kitchen that is absolutely packed with the things that I need, but without compromising on the way that my kitchen looks.
Ensure everybody can move around comfortably
If you are planning to have a lot of guests around, it will inevitably get crowded, so you need to make sure that there is space for everybody to get around comfortably. Avoid narrow gaps for people to have to walk through, as this can present a challenge for bigger guests or those who use mobility aids, and a more open space to walk through is always going to feel much more welcoming to your visitors.
High ceilings give your space a grander feel
When it comes to designing your perfect kitchen extension, one of the most important features you can have for creating a space that feels open and airy is a high ceiling. Not only is this fantastic for giving additional space for decorating, but it immediately opens the room up and makes it feel so much more spacious than it actually is.
